Introduction

My husband, Jeremy, and I have lived in the Nine Mile Falls community for 10 years.  In that time his daughter attended our schools and recently graduated in 2020.  My daughter entered 8th grade this year at Lakeside Middle School.  Together we have a son that is 3, who will also attend our public schools.  We are truly lucky to live in this beautiful and special community.

Jeremy is a retired Army Veteran and now works in the private sector.  My career has been in banking for over 20 years, where I’ve focused on business-related financing and services. I grew up in Walla Walla, WA, attending public schools, and relocated here to attend EWU studying Finance, Economics, and Spanish.  I was raised to work hard for what you want in life and that there was no challenge I couldn’t take on.  Individual accountability, ethics, faith, and honesty are foundational values that I hold closely.  I have always been a doer, an achiever, a leader, a champion for causes and doing what is right- regardless of the difficulty- which is how I find myself compelled to serve on the Nine Mile Falls School Board.  I see many distressing influences and policies affecting our schools, our children’s well-being, and the quality of their educational experience.  I believe we need an unwavering voice, fresh energy, and strong convictions representing the children and parents on our school board. We need representation that reflects the values, beliefs, and desires of OUR community to protect and educate OUR children.

I look forward to the opportunity to serve our community and improve our children’s school experience.  Please WRITE IN TARA BROWN FOR POSITION #5, Nine Mile Falls School Board.
